Once again we will come together as a community to have the SAFEST Halloween ever. We close Vermont Avenue and keep everyone safe. SAFETY is our #1 priority here.*
Traffic on Vermont Avenue will be closed Halloween from 5:30 – 9 pm
of course this doesn’t apply to residents of Vermont and Emergency Vehicles.
Every year thousands of people come to Vermont Avenue to experience a memorable and really fun Halloween with their family and friends. Especially a place where kids can be kids and not worry about zipping in and out of traffic.
This also creates a burden for those who live on Vermont and surrounding houses.
So we take donations, and lots of them!
Your monetary donation (see PayPal link at right) goes to:
- Buying candy to replenish the HUNDREDS of dollars that houses can spend
- Cover the cost of the street closure, permit and blockades
- Any other costs that we run into
You can make a candy donation at Sunny Point or 80 Vermont Ave or at the Fall Potluck at West Asheville Park on Oct 26 from 12 – 3.
You can also help by being a Volunteer! Click Here
Volunteer to man a barricade on Halloween night. Last year’s volunteers had fun watching the scene and felt the love from appreciative visitors.
* This event is very much geared to family and the kids. Any rowdy, overly excited party goers will be escorted out of the area. If necessary we will notify the police and you don’t want that.
